Kayak on the Saguenay Fjord

The Saguenay Fjord has never ceased to amaze me with its changing landscapes, variety of colours and overall immensity.

Fjord en Kayak

Originally from the region, I thrive for activities that are adrenaline infused and instill a sense of freedom. A way for me to escape while staying connected with nature.

Sea Kayaking: New horizons in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean.

I invite you to join me on a sea kayaking adventure on the Saguenay Fjord. No previous paddling experience is required to live the experience. A little motivation and coordination for steering when kayaking is all that’s required. The marine activity may require some physical exertion, but I assure you that it’s not overly demanding.

There’s nothing like the feeling of becoming one with your watercraft. The imposing surrounding landscapes instill a sense of wonder and awe. The rock walls tower from 300 to even 400 meters from high above at capes Trinité and Éternité. Gliding along the waters surrounded by a pristine natural environment, you’ll discover a new appreciation for the great outdoors. The fjord, a peaceful place where our spirit can roam free.

Paddling in good company with Fjord en Kayak

Fjord en Kayak was created 20 years ago and is an environmentally responsible company accredited by Aventure Écotourisme Québec (AEQ), which is to say, it employs techniques in respect to the environment and local communities. Visitors will live an unforgettable experience since every section of the course is simply magnificent. The owners, Louis Dubord and Sylvie Major, are enthusiasts of the region and sea kayaking. They have a keen attention to detail and are always looking forward to share their love of Saguenay with visitors.

Their mission: To make sea kayaking on the fjord and the regional natural wonders both accessible and safe for everyone.

The company offers a variety of expeditions such as short family-friendly excursions and two to four-day adventures in the Parc national du Fjord-du-Saguenay and Saguenay–St. Lawrence Marine Park. Children as young as three can also safely join in the fun. The experienced guides ensure that your experience is nothing less than incredible. The excursions that are generally in carried out in groups, lead us to witness the fjord’s hidden facets and landscapes, which in my opinion, will remain eternally etched in our memory. To reach this magnificent site, take Route 170 du Fjord toward l’Anse-Saint-Jean. Pass through the Parc national du Fjord–du-Saguenay, in Rivière-Éternité and follow the directions for returning close to the shore.
