Surfing on the Mistassibi in Lac-Saint-Jeanby Roxanne St-Pierre
Welcome to Saint-Stanislas, a relaxing and charming vacation resort located in the heart of Lac-Saint-Jean.
This Lac-Saint-Jean village is the mecca of rafting and whitewater activities nestled along the shores of the Mistassibi River.
The Mistassibi River is the destination of choice for thrill seekers and adventure enthusiasts alike. Rafting is an adrenaline-packed exhilarating adventure that instills a sense of pride and one that must be experienced at least once in a lifetime. Put on your wetsuit and life jacket, hop on the inflatable raft and start paddling to ride the waves!
I did go rafting two years ago, but it wasn’t on the Mistassibi River and remains an experience that I have yet to discover. It’s been a dream of mine since childhood. This river, known for hosting many national championships, extends over 300 km in length and is rated IV and V for its long raging rapids and powerful currents.
